Kayleigh and Luke - 17th February 2012 - Battleborough Grange Hotel, Highbridge

This was the first wedding since my daughter was born in January and I was a guest which is always a bonus! The beautiful wedding of my good friend Kay and her handsome groom Luke took place at Battleborough Grange in Highbridge. I've only shot a couple weddings at Battleborough over the last few years but I'm there three times this year so it's clearly becoming a popular choice. A lovely revamp means the conservatory is now a great room  for an intimate ceremony and tidy gardens with pretty features are always useful for the outside pics.  It was a rather chilly February day for a wedding but Kayleigh is made of tough stuff and we got some fantastic pictures outside which I hope she loves! Huge Congratulations to this wonderful couple.

Not Long Until Baby Time!!

Thought I'd give you a little update and let you know that I am now less than two weeks off my due date. Bump is due to arrive on the 28th December. My husband and I are hugely excited and very much looking forward to little ones arrival.

Dont forget that I am still taking bookings while I'm off on my Maternity leave and with nearly 40 weddings already booked for next year it looks like 2012 will be even busier than 2011. Give me a call if you would like to discuss your requirements.

Catherine and David - 15th October 2011 - St Martins, Fivehead and Fivehead Village Hall

Catherine and David's wedding was my last before I start my maternity leave and it was a lovely wedding to go out on. The beautiful setting of Catherine's parents parish church and the local community hall were the idyllic setting for a country wedding, with the Reception just a few minutes walk from St Martins.
The couple were up for some fun photos with their attendants so I had them running and jumping around the playing fields attached to the reception hall much to their guests amusement. Although neither Catherine or David claimed to be particularly fond of the camera I created some lovely traditional couple portraits at the church and we took the time to do a few more contemporary and intimate shots at the Hall once everyone had enjoyed a glass of bubbly. A classic British wedding and a great day to be a wedding photographer!

Nicola and Alistair - 8th October 2011 - The Longhouse, Bruton

The ultimate Bridal accessory for any bride getting married in the Autumn or Spring has got to be the Wellington Boot. Nicola had some vibrant red spotty ones for her wedding to Alistair which came in very handy as there was a fine mist in the air for most of the day. Practical footwear meant the couple could get lots of funky photos around their Eco friendly venue.
Neither Jen or I had photographed the Longhouse in Bruton before but the lovely light space and plenty of outside covered areas shows what a versatile venue it is even when the weather isn't perfect.
Nic and Alistair included lots of lovely personal touches in their day. The bride had one of the most stunning bouquets I have ever seen. She made it herself from buttons and personal items such as the horseshoes from her parents wedding cake, what a lovely momento to keep from her big day! The speeches included gifts from the Father of the Bride for the happy couple and the bestman had created a replica of a model the groom had made when he was a teenager that went down a treat as Alistair is now an architect.

Shelly and Ross - 1st October 2011 - Folly Farm, Pensford

Shelly and Ross picked one of the most beautiful days this year for their wedding celebrations. No one could have predicted such fantastic weather in October. A venue like Folly Farm is ideal in beautiful sunshine, a courtyard with incredible views, picturesque pond and very old tree are ideal spots for some pictures.
On Saturday I met two of the youngest bestmen I'm likely to come across in my career, Ross chose their two sons for the role, both under four years old. Luckily they werent expected to make a speech, the couple chose to have a really relaxed day without too many of the traditional formalities and this suited the informal venue perfectly.
